California School Shooting

An armed suspect shot up Highlands High School in Palmdale, Calif. on Friday, May 11.

Their motives remain uncertain. One 14 year-old was shot in the arm and injured and is in stable condition in the hospital. The suspect is believed to be a 15 year-old boy.

Calls to 911 about an armed suspect came at about 7 a.m.

Investigators say the shooting occurred as the result of a dispute between the boys.

This event seems to be isolated and investigators do not believe the suspect attempted to shoot any other students.

School was not in session when the shooting occurred, but students were starting to arrive.

More than 20 school shootings have occurred in 2018 alone.
