Many people that are involved in these fatal crashes have a BAC of .08. With this BAC every year about 26 people die due to alcohol-related crashes in the United States, most from ages 16 to 20.DUI rates have decreased by 50% over 3 years, and still remains one of the top causes of death in the US.

There are many fatal crashes around the world.  One, in particular, would be a 19-year-old woman, Obdulia Sanchez from Los Banos California. This accident took place in February 2018. This young woman was sentenced 6 years in prison for killing her little sister in the process of driving under the influence of alcohol. Something that could have been avoided, but led to a DUI, gross vehicle manslaughter, and child endangerment charges.

There is no way to stop people from getting DUIs but it can be prevented with a little common sense.
