Austin Knox is a current student at Weld Central High School. He plays basketball for the school, and he’s a junior. He recently received a concussion against Eaton on January 27. He was out for one game before returning to play against Alameda on February 5. Austin said he will make a full recovery and come back even stronger, faster, and looking for more W’s. This year he is averaging 14.7 points per game. He also has 417 points in his 2 years of playing varsity and has 6 Player of the Game rewards.
Their team lost to Alameda, and the Big Dawg Knox got into a little trouble with his coach. He claims that he was trying to motivate his team and coaches, but he might have come off disrespectful. He was kicked out of practice three times and his third was the last practice he would participate in this year. He was a big part of the Weld Central basketball team, and he will have to try out again next year when he is a senior. He claims this will be his Big Dawg Knox comeback and he’s preparing for next year.
