Ted Nugent was born in Rutherford, Michigan is one of four siblings, he lived most of his early childhood in Detroit, Michigan. Ted Nugent grew up wanting to become a singer/songwriter, which he successfully accomplished. Ted started singing when he was six and his love for music took off from there.
Ted Nugent fronted the band, Amboy Dukes in the 1970s. Nugent released his first album, featuring the song, “Strangle Hold” and “Hey Baby”, which he eventually sold three million copies.
Ted Nugent is known for being an activist and his conservative political views, his lifelong stance against drug and alcohol abuse, and his NRA support. His Republican party support and his NRA support has given him many critics, but he never lets them stop or get in the way of his beliefs and goals.
Nugent has served on more than two dozen political and charitable associations, including, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and National Rifle Association. Nugent’s beliefs have made him who he is and no one can take that away from him.
