Many students at Weld Central have gotten to meet a particularly furry friend since the start of the 2017-2018 school year. The new friend is a Siberian husky with black and white fur, often seen roaming around the parking lot throughout the summer and the beginning of the school year. A few students snapped pictures of the pup, while others guided it into the school. Senior wrestler, Quentin Jiner said, ” I took it to Wendy’s and bought it food.” Some students requested that the husky be our new school mascot. However, the current whereabouts of the dog are unknown. “It’s been about a month since I’ve seen him,” said Taea Nelson, a junior volleyball player. Although many people have met the dog, it was unclear what name the husky was given by its owners. Senior wrestler, Jimmy LaConte said,” The dog’s name should be Jerry.” It is clear that whoever does own this dog definitely needs to fence their property a little better.
